The Scriptures tell us, “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)
This means that we are not perfect.
In fact, we have all violated God’s Word, will, wisdom, and ways.
Because God is holy He must punish sinners.
“For the wages of sin is death.” (Romans 6:23)
Can’t God just ignore our sins and sweep it under the rug?
No, then He would be corrupt and sinful Himself.
He must punish sin.
NOW THE GOOD NEWS
Although you are much worse than you imagine, God loves you much more than you realize.
Scripture lets us know, “But God commendeth (proved) His love towards us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)
This means that God sent His Son, Jesus, who was perfect and sinless to die in our place.
Yes, Jesus was punished for our sins.
How incredible is that?
WHAT CAN WE DO?
Absolutely nothing!
Jesus did everything for us on the cross.
He now offers you the free gift of forgiveness and eternal life. “For the wages of sin is death, BUT the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)
You can be right with God. You can be clean before God. You can have a relationship with Him.
Now that is good news!
Right now you can have a conversation with God and accept Jesus Christ as your personal Savior.
Will you do that?
Someone may ask, “How could a loving God ever send anyone to eternal hell?” The greater question is, “How could anyone reject such a loving God’s offer when He punished His Son upon the cross in our place?”
Yes, God loves you more than you realize.
Accept His free gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ.
